1. "Oh, Earth Earth! Sorry, ignore the postapocalyptic wasteland, that was Mondas or somewhere." While I'm willing to hazard that some people saw this coming, probably those of you who are still loudly maintaining that they totally worked out the ending of The Sixth Sense from fifteen minutes into the film, I didn't guess it and I really liked that it went this way rather than in a bleak, gritty, everyone-dies-but-damn-don't-you-feel-like-you're-watching-HBO? direction.
1a). However, I like that Mondas had Bob Dylan too. Now that's some impressive convergent evolution.
2. Head!Six and Head!Baltar as angels of some sort is great, and they need their own Good Omens-esque spinoff series. I really liked that Ron Moore et al. didn't try to tie up all the loose ends too securely, and that some of the weird mystical stuff stayed weird mystical stuff right up to the end. As with Kara.
3. From the TWoP mini-recap: 'and if you, like me, don't really care for robots, shooting, or science fiction - there wasn't a lot here for you.' Dear sweet God, Jacob, then why are you reviewing Battlestar Galactica? So you can spend page after page in your own little Kara/Lee shippy heaven bitching about how much you hate Cally? It's a show about killer robots who fly spaceships, and you're surprised there was a robot shootout in the finale? What did you think was going to happen?
...okay, I'll let this go now. It's been four good years, more or less. It's time to stop bitching about Jacob.
4. Forget the tribalistic natives, someone should teach Hera language. It would make life much simpler if she understood 'STAY RIGHT THERE!'
5. But that was amazing.
