So, I think I'm going to write a three-part thing for the Branmer fic - the one I've already written, the one I'm currently working on with Delenn and Branmer after the surrender order, and then hopefully one during Legacies with Delenn and Neroon talking a few things over. I'm pretty clear on how the second one's going to go, but the third... well, it has Neroon, it'll be fun to write if nothing else.

I'm also really, really tempted to write Lennier fic about That Diary, and just what it was in there that Delenn read as 'He thinks our relationship is a mistake'. As soon as I can get past the frankly stupid, JMS, what were you thinking? rather weird idea of Lennier having a diary, that is. What would it look like? "Private!!!!! Keep out EVERYONE - this means YOU!!!!!" written on the front? Little White Stars doodled in the margins? "Wednesday, eleventy-first of April. Ranger training - 87% complete. Number of times have received nasty scars on face due to fighting-pike-related issues - 0, v.g. Minutes spent muttering about Sheridan - 27."

Er. Maybe I can't write it seriously, after all.

Erm, yeah, about that AU character assasination diary...

If you are going to do it seriously, here are some things that I can think of Lennier keeping that might look like a diary:
Unsent letters to Delenn (or to Vir, I suppose).
A collection of religious texts gathered from his fellow Rangers, that he thinks might help his friends the anthropologist-monks.
Psychological exercises that were part of Ranger training (like in "A New Religion", except written down), which he'd probably do thoroughly and dutifully. Maybe even keeping a diary of your dreams or writing down the most evil thought you have each day or some suchlike thing is part of Ranger training.

I just can't get past some sort of willful misrepresentation on Delenn's part, though, either of the content or the context. Anyway, good luck with it - I'm excited to see what you come up with.

Thank you for the suggestions! I can see it working a lot more clearly now, and I really would like to write Lennier first-person fic, especially after that gorgeous story of Sabine's you gave me the link to.

I think she had to be, and I suppose even if she consciously realised she was doing that, she could justify it by telling herself she was 'translating' Lennier's real meaning for Sheridan.
