I felt a bit sorry for his girlfriend, though. Partly in the RUN, WOMAN, RUN! sense, but mostly because she still clearly saw me as some kind of threat. Given that I broke up with him four years ago and haven't regretted the decision since, I think her fears may be misplaced.
