I'm not so sure it would change their dynamic, sadly. In fact, it casts that one scene where Delenn has Lennier in the alcove (I forget which episode it is---the "what is it you want from me?" one) in a new but painfully valid light. It also helps explain Lennier's drive to achieve heroism in the later fifth season.
