I've only read the cholera story, which is - well, I can confidently say it's the best story about a cholera bacterium I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. (It's pretty well-written, to its credit.) Apparently he re-released the Titanic story after the real Titanic, with some changes (to things like the construction of the ship's hull) to make it closer, although he'd got the main points right already.
