Yeah, most newer places here have that (my last flat did), and it does seem to cut down on a lot of this kind of fighting. I really think the best solution here would be for everyone to agree to pay X amount into a communal pot to pay for a cleaner and gardener and repairs etc. on a regular basis, even though it's not part of the deeds/leases - but, yeah, nobody's going to agree to that. I did suggest it before, at the House Meeting of Doom, but was outvoted on the grounds that "we can sort this out ourselves." No! We can't! That's why we're here!
